Birmingham’s new super hospital has just opened its doors, pioneering medical research is being undertaken at Birmingham University and The Binding Site, specialists in manufacturing blood tests for the detection of cancers and other serious disorders, has moved onto The Estate.

Outline planning permission has been granted by Birmingham City Council to build a new Dental Hospital and the University of Birmingham's School of Dentistry on the former BBC Pebble Mill Site.
The proposed development, led by Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust, together with its partners the University of Birmingham, Birmingham and Solihull LIFT (BaS LIFT), and Calthorpe Estates would deliver the same range of services currently provided at the Whittall Street site in a modern fit-for-purpose building.
At Pebble Mill, there is an opportunity to create a purpose-built solution to match specialist medical requirements and specifications and be part of an enterprising hub of healthcare. The location is ideal and within doorstop access to leading hospitals, related medical and research organisations.
Facilities will benefit from leafy surroundings, a well-laid out plan, that has ample car parking and has easy access for employees and visitors.
Interested partners are exploring the options with Calthorpe Estates with the potential to grow their operations from the base.
Opportunities of up to 70,000 sq ft will be considered across all uses.
