Award winning restaurants

Our vision to create a fine dining quarter started over 11 years ago with the arrival of Andreas Antona who opened Simpsons and established the first award winning Michelin starred restaurant in Edgbaston.

Simpsons Michelin starred restaurant

The presence of Birmingham’s most celebrated restaurant, Simpsons, has given Edgbaston a deserved reputation for fine dining, which has been enhanced further by its refurbishment and the arrival of Nathan Eades as head chef.

Chef-patron Andreas Antona and chef-director Luke Tipping, brought their venture from Kenilworth to a Grade II-listed building on Highfield Road in 2004, and within a year had been awarded a Michelin star, which they have retained to this day. With the refurbishment they created a beautiful landscaped garden, extended the dining area and introduced eye-catching geometric windows, featuring handmade glass mosaics and a new curved roof.
