Work is underway on the flagship environmentally sustainable office development at 19 George Road in Edgbaston, which will signal a new era of architecture on the Calthorpe Estate.
The £2.2 million development by Calthorpe Estates will become the new residence for Shaw & Co, the largest firm of dedicated chartered tax advisers in the UK.
The 1,115 sq m (11,997 sq ft) glass-fronted building, featuring a grand entrance and generous atrium, will boast the best quality design and will aim to achieve a high BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating, to reflect the building quality, energy performance and environmental impact.

Already customers on the Estate, Shaw & Co’s continuous expansion from 14 years ago has accelerated over the past year and led to the company no longer being able to operate from its former offices on Calthorpe Road.

The offices are scheduled for completion at the end of this year and set a new rental level on the Estate, reflecting the design integrity of the property and the increased appeal of the area.
