New Cosmetic Clinic For Edgbaston
July 2008
A brand new lifestyle clinic is opening on the prestigious Calthorpe Estate, with a 5,650 sq ft letting at 53 Church Road. The joint venture is the first of its kind for the area.
Ramsay Health Care, the hospital service provider recently featured in the Nursing Times top 100 private hospitals, is opening a new facility to provide cosmetic treatments and surgery on the Edgbaston Estate. In partnership with four prominent cosmetic and dental consultants, the clinic aims to answer the growing call for small medical procedures, such as dental day surgery, laser hair removal and non-surgical cosmetic treatments.
Peta Mandleberg, general manager for Ramsay Health Care, said: “The Edgbaston facility is the first stand alone lifestyle clinic we have been involved in. We are very excited to be working in partnership with these highly respected clinicians, in such a prime location.
“It was very important that the clinic was well situated in order to benefit from close links with our West Midlands hospital in Halesowen, whilst still operating as a stand alone centre. Calthorpe Estates offered us the perfect solution at Church Road”
Commenting on the move, Natasha Walkden, sales and marketing co-ordinator at Calthorpe Estates, said: “We always strive to meet the needs of our tenants and are very happy to be able to accommodate such a reputable organisation on the Estate.
“Providing a business solution for a brand new venture is an exciting prospect for Calthorpe Estates, and we look forward to welcoming Ramsay Health Care to Edgbaston.”
Mandleberg concludes: “The new clinic will be a fantastic addition to the area, and we are delighted to join the many established businesses already on the Calthorpe Estate.”
The ground floor will feature a mix of treatment and consulting rooms for non invasive cosmetic treatments, in addition to a theatre for cosmetic surgery. To complement this, on the first floor will be a practice for cosmetic dentistry and specialist dental referrals. As an added benefit, the centre also aims to provide therapy rooms for clients to experience top end luxury spa treatments.
The clinic is due to open its dental suites in November, with the cosmetic practice opening its doors later in the year.
DTZ and King Sturge acted for Calthorpe Estates and Ramsay Healthcare respectively.
