The steelwork structure that forms Calthorpe Estates’ £40m Calthorpe House development at Five Ways Island in Birmingham is almost complete.

The 100,000 tonne steelwork frame will soon be covered with over 47,000 sq ft of precast concrete panels, helping to create the final look for the 105,600 sq ft Grade A BREEAM ‘EXCELLENT’ rated office scheme.

Calthorpe Estates commercial director, David Povall, said, “Work is progressing well with our vision to deliver the highest quality office space to Birmingham. Calthorpe House represents best practice at every level. It will deliver Grade A office accommodation and, more importantly given its sustainable credentials, it will continue to deliver benefits for its surrounding environment for many years to come.”
