Streetscape

Streetscape is an investment programme dedicated to the aesthetics of the area, which includes an ongoing tree replacement and tree monitoring programme to ensure the tranquil and leafy ambiance of the Estate, one of Britain’s largest urban conservation areas, with over a million trees, is preserved.

Specialist arboriculturists are commissioned as part of the programme to undertake an assessment of all the trees on the Estate. The information collated is used to formulate a planned programme for tree management, taking into account such factors as species and height. Furthermore, an assessment of each tree’s vitality, condition, age, class and longevity is used to create a replacement planting strategy to preserve the environment.
