Calthorpe Business Community

Through a partnership approach and by taking an interest in our customers business across the Estate, we create a strong business community.

Supporting our businesses

We believe in a partnership approach and with that in mind created the Calthorpe Business Community (CBC), as an independent association to promote the mutual interests of all our business customers across the Estate.

Since its inception it has gone from strength-to-strength and has helped to improve the dynamic business community in Edgbaston.

News, events and support

We regularly get together with our customers at a series of CBC events throughout the year, sharing them Estate news and developments. Furthermore, we take a strong interest in our customers businesses, where possible promoting them through our newsletter and by encouraging them to establish relationships with other customers across the Estate.

May's CBC Event

Calthorpe Estates’ monthly CBC event took place on Friday 11th May at 10-11 Greenfield Crescent. Here are selection of images from the event, including speeches from Calthorpe Estates, Loki Wine and Neptune.

Elmhurst Ballet School Delights CBC Members

Members of the Calthorpe Business Community enjoyed a special performance by the stars of the internationally recognised Elmhurst Ballet School as part of a networking event that took place at the school on Friday 4th November.

The contemporary venue was opened in 2005 and trains young dancers, who go on to hold leading positions in famous ballet institutions across the world.

Guests had an opportunity to hear of new developments across the Estate from Mark Lee, Chief Executive of Calthorpe Estates and three lucky attendees won some terrific Edgbaston Experience prizes.

Christmas Calthorpe Business Community lunch, at Edgbaston Golf Club

At each event, over the years we hold a free prize draw, with many of our members winning lovely gifts.  As Christmas is a time of giving, at this event we asked members to buy raffle tickets to enter the draw for our prize extravaganza, with over 10 prizes to be won!

With all proceeds going to Aquarius, Martineau Gardens, Open Door Youth Counselling and St George’s Church, we raised just short of £300 and Calthorpe Estates matched this figure and distributed the funds equally between our chosen charities.

10 lucky attendees won some terrific Edgbaston Experience prizes, ranging from 12-month family membership to Birmingham Botanical Gardens, tickets to see the star-studded Pantomime Cinderella, a full body hot stones massage & Lunch for 4 including drinks to mention but a few.
