Dining
Award-winning restaurants
Our vision to create a fine dining quarter started over 15 years ago with the arrival of Andreas Antona who opened Simpsons and established the first award-winning Michelin starred restaurant in Edgbaston.

Simpsons Michelin starred restaurant
The presence of Birmingham’s most celebrated restaurant, Simpsons, has given Edgbaston a deserved reputation for fine dining, which has been enhanced further by its award-winning team.
Chef patron Andreas Antona and chef director Luke Tipping, brought their venture from Kenilworth to a Grade II-listed building on Highfield Road in 2004, and within a year had been awarded a Michelin star, which they have retained to this day. With the refurbishment they created a beautiful landscaped garden, extended the dining area and introduced eye-catching geometric windows, featuring handmade glass mosaics and a new curved roof.
Our ambition is to remain at the forefront of Birmingham’s dining scene.
