Dining

Award-winning restaurants

Our vision to create a fine dining quarter started over 15 years ago with the arrival of Andreas Antona who opened Simpsons and established the first award-winning Michelin starred restaurant in Edgbaston.

Simpsons Michelin starred restaurant

The presence of Birmingham’s most celebrated restaurant, Simpsons, has given Edgbaston a deserved reputation for fine dining, which has been enhanced further by its award-winning team.

Chef patron Andreas Antona and chef director Luke Tipping, brought their venture from Kenilworth to a Grade II-listed building on Highfield Road in 2004, and within a year had been awarded a Michelin star, which very proudly they have retained to this day. The award-winning restaurant is home to a stunning dining area with bi-fold windows looking out onto a beautiful landscaped garden, eye-catching geometric feature windows which sit under a curved roof, decorated with handmade Italian glass mosaic lights, Scandi style furniture and finishes.
