EDGBASTON VILLAGE WELCOMES ARRIVAL OF NEW SCANDINAVIAN LIFESTYLE STORE

A new Scandinavian-inspired independent home and lifestyle store has opened in Edgbaston Village, Birmingham.

KIN, has opened on Greenfield Crescent, will bring an array of individually sourced home, lifestyle and furniture products to Village for all to enjoy.

With the likes of BoConcept, OKA and Neptune nearby, KIN is the newest addition to Edgbaston Village’s impressive premium home and lifestyle portfolio, and will see a Scandinavian touch brought to its offering, with brands such as HAY, Muuto, Fern Living and Menu stocked in store.

Lewis Jenkins, the founder of KIN, said: “We have always been Birmingham based, opening KIN in Harborne three years ago, before moving to Moseley, where we quickly outgrew the space.

“Our new store is around five times bigger than our previous home, and we hope to be able to use it to better showcase our furniture range and create inspiring spaces for our customers to help them visualise how their home could look.

“Over the years, we’ve watched Edgbaston Village blossom and become Birmingham’s must-visit location for high end interior and lifestyle products. We knew we would be in great company, and the recent streetscape works on Greenfield Crescent convinced us now was the time to make the move – the buildings are so characterful, the streetscape is really special and we know our customers will love the monthly artisan market too.

Emma Davenport, Customer and Lettings Executive for Calthorpe Estates, said: “We are delighted to welcome KIN to Edgbaston Village. The area is quickly becoming a popular location for premium interiors, and is a thriving destination for independent businesses. Already popular with the people of Birmingham, we have no doubt that KIN will provide yet another reason to visit the Village from far and wide.”

Situated on Greenfield Crescent, in the heart of Edgbaston Village, on the Calthorpe Estate, KIN will be open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Already home to a variety of award-winning independent restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, including the Michelin-starred Simpsons, The High Field and Loki Wine, recent plans undertaken by Calthorpe Estates have created opportunities for even more retail and lifestyle facilities in the area. The Village is easily accessible via car, is in walking distance from Five Ways station, and will also benefit from the Edgbaston Village Metro stop set to arrive at the end of 2021.
