High Flyers Opportunity To Discover Edgbaston


Over 6 million passengers arriving at Birmingham Airport over the next six months will be welcomed with some ground-breaking advertising encouraging them to “Discover Edgbaston”.

Calthorpe Estates has created some eye-catching, illuminated light boxes promoting the chance to Discover Edgbaston, just a mile from Birmingham city centre.

The boxes are built into wrap around walls featuring attractive images of activities and things to do around the Estate.

The new advertising complements the existing taxi and tactical poster campaign that was run last year to promote dining and the leisure facilities in Edgbaston.

Calthorpe Estates’ Marketing Manager, Nicki Gibberson said; ”Birmingham Airport is the busiest gateway to the region.  Last year over 12 million passengers travelled through the terminals, attracting new visitors as new airlines and destinations are added. As well as reaching visitors the advertising reminds people coming home to try the variety of activities and venues on offer within Edgbaston, one of Birmingham’s hidden gems.”

The new advertising can be seen in the Southern Terminal and on the back wall of Carousel 4 in the main terminal.
