Calthorpe Estates vision was to create a thriving mixed-use premium retail destination in the heart of the Edgbaston.

Today that vision is coming to life. Edgbaston Village boasts a mixture of retail, leisure, dining, and prime commercial space.

The changing face of Edgbaston Village

At 16-22 Harborne Road – opposite Morrisons – we converted the period properties to two retail units, which are now home to Neptune home decor and OKA home furnishing stores.

Harborne Court now features home interest store BoConcept, with it’s contemporary Danish furniture.

Just around the corner at 10-15 Greenfield Crescent, we have created six new ground floor retail units now home to Loki Wine and Deli, Lux Studio & Gallery, KIN Home interest store, My Baby Stroller and Smoke & Ash Pizzeria, with Grade A offices and premier student apartments above.

Brunning & Price selected Edgbaston Village as the location for their first Birmingham venture on the site of the former Birmingham Medical Institute (BMI) Conference Centre. Located at 36 Harborne Road, ‘The Physician’ is a popular stylish family bar and pub restaurant.

Elsewhere, on Islington Row we have created smart and attractive new frontages for the 15 retail units, in keeping with the distinctive charm of Edgbaston Village, to create a premier parade of shops – the transformation has attracted a variety of new occupiers including the award-winning Laghi’s Deli.
