Vita Student Living

Accommodating Students

As part of our commitment to the future generation it is important that we offer not just a place to study but also a place to stay.  We therefore have substantial experience in the student sector with various models of ownership from a ground rent, development agreement model right through to direct investment in our own student schemes.  We outline a few examples below.

At Pebble Mill, as part of our Pebble Mill Masterplan we identified the perfect land opportunity for a student focused development that would support the needs of the local universities in the area.  After a tender process Vita Student was chosen to create an exemplary student facility for the modern era based on a ground rent, development agreement model Luxury Student Accommodation Birmingham | Vita Student

Elmhurst Ballet School has been on the Calthorpe Estate for 20 years and we have developed a proud and long-standing relationship.  We built accommodation for Elmhurst students close to the school based on Bristol Road. Elmhurst Ballet School | Live | Dance | Learn

In 2016 Calthorpe Estates took the decision to directly invest in a student scheme turning a former remediated petrol station site into a 50 unit direct let student scheme.  54 George Road offers students a choice of either cluster apartments in groups of 6 or a premium offer apartment with fully integrated kitchen.  Working with our managing and letting agent Purple Frog Purple Frog Asset Management: Homes built around you: Live the life you want (purplefrogproperty.com)  54 George Road has shown consistent growth year on year.

We constantly monitor our estate to selectively look for opportunities to enhance our student offering in line with the principle of a balanced mix of uses that work in cohesion to create what the estate has become today.
